AP (Advanced Placement)

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program created by the College Board in the United States and Canada. Subject-specific AP curricula are developed by experts and college-level educators in their respective academic fields. The program offers high school students the chance to undertake university-level coursework and exams. Students who earn qualifying scores on AP exams may become eligible for advanced placement or course credit at colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad.

AP Benefits

Taking AP can help you:

  • Get Familiar with College-Level Work: Earn college credit and placement.
Develop College Skills: Build time management, critical thinking, and scholarly writing abilities.

  • Discover Your Passion: Studying a subject in depth can provide new insights and even guide you toward a potential career path.

  • Boost Your GPA: Improving your academic performance can also give you the flexibility to change majors, pursue a second degree, study abroad, or explore internship opportunities.
