GCS Middle School (Grades 6–8) provides a supportive and challenging environment where students grow in independence, confidence, and intellectual curiosity.
Our Middle School curriculum is a comprehensive Pre-AP preparatory program aligned with Ontario Ministry of Education standards. It builds upon the inquiry skills developed in the IB Primary Years Programme and introduces students to advanced concepts, research methods, and critical academic practices.
Methodological Continuity – Strengthens and refines the habits of inquiry from the Elementary Division.
Academic Enhancement – Introduces higher-level concepts and research-based approaches.
Independent Learning – Fosters self-directed study, organization, and academic communication skills.
Secondary Readiness – Prepares students for the rigor of high school coursework, Advanced Placement (AP), and university pathways.
Through this program, students not only expand their knowledge but also learn to take ownership of their learning journey, setting the stage for future academic excellence and leadership.
